Emily Parsons is an artist and illustrator in Brooklyn, New York.

She earned her BA in Fine Arts from Florida State University in 2014 and has lived in New York City since that year. Her work spans medium from oil paint to monoprinting to digital animation. Through the use of expressive mark making and study of light and color, her work aims to celebrate the poetry of ordinary life.

To extend this study, she also writes a monthly Substack newsletter called sunday sketchbook that publishes short stories, personal essays, and updates on her studio practice.
